Growing up in a small southern town, I often felt that my unique self-expression was culturally stifled. My journey into creative self-discovery began with dance lessons in middle school, where I was captivated by the art of costume design. I honed my skills for a decade, sewing and altering garments both for the dance studio and for daily wear. In college, I picked up graphic design as well and started designing and printing custom apparel for local businesses in the area.

During a post-pandemic bout of burnout from freelancing, I started attending music festivals and raves where I was deeply inspired by the bold, self-expressive style of my fellow dancers next to me in the crowd. My friends told me how they felt most themselves in their festival clothes, and they would keep the energy of the events alive by styling their fun & funky festival pieces into their everyday outfits. I quickly saw a demand for easy-to-wear, expressive statement pieces that fit in not only at shows but also at the office, coffee shop, and beyond.
